Okay! Finally I am changing my web address to match my new business name. The new address is not up and running yet, but all details are taken care of and I am just waiting for it to do its thing. I am hoping that next week you will be able to log onto http://www.creativeimagecollections.com/ to see my site! However, because I have past clients that are used to meganlabarbera.com I am keeping that as well and you will be able to log into that to view the same sight. This was the best way to make the change I thought so noone was left in the dust when wanting to view my site!
I will let you know when it is actually up and running smoothly!
Enjoy!

Tonight was pumpkin carving night. Two nights before Halloween and we are all ready for the big candy parade!!! Carving pumpkins was something that both my husband and I loved growing up as a child and we want to continue such traditions in our home! The recipe for a perfect pumpkin carving night is one large pumpkin, two small pumpkies, one dad to carve, and one mom to photograph! Wha-la! You have the perfect pumpkin carving night! Enjoy!

Happy Halloween! Have a spooktacular night! Mwaaaaahahahaha!

This is an image I captured of my daughter, nick named pippi-squeak or pip-squeak. Either defines her personality to a “T”. She was nicknamed this well before we brought her home from the NIC-U, wrapped up amongst wires and beeping machines, and it still holds true to her spirit! I love this shot of her. It was taken outside when we were just hanging out waiting for Dad to get home! She is a wild child and will give me a run for my money when she gets older…but isn’t it so worth it when you can experience such joy as this…

I am sure it is not a “perfect” image…but she is perfect to me and I LOVE this photograph…you can bet you will see it on my wall somewhere the next time you come over! ;o)

This post is just for fun. I loved this image that I shot of Claudette on her wedding day (more pics of her and Rob’s wedding day coming soon) so I wanted to post a few different variations of it. I will most likely be choosing their wedding for a Sample Album book, which will be one of many, and definitely will be getting another canvas fine art gallery wrap for my studio wall. So if you wouldn’t mind leaving me a comment stating your favorite one that would be great! Don’t be shy!
this one is an obvious black and white version, with a bit of a grainy feel, which brings me back to the darkroom days that I sometimes miss so much. My favorite film to tinker around with was Ilford 1600 or 3200 and pushing it to get a cozy grainy feel. ;o)
Next is a sepia version…also one of my favorites! I used to be into staining some of my black and white film prints in tea or wine to get a flavorable treat!!! (Noooo - I didn’t drink the wine after ;o)

This one has a bit of a color to it, but I kept it soft and subtle. I think the veil adds a perfect and natural softening effect to her already stunning features.
So let me know what your favorite is and I will certainly take into consideration what your feelings are on the images when I am purchasing my gallery wrap! (which by the way clients can purchase through Creative Image Collections…hint hint!)

Hi All! I am selling a never been worn wedding gown if all you brides are interested in a deal! I purchased the dress for a client / model to wear for a trash the dress session and we decided on a different style gown and I can’t return or exchange the dress. So I am selling it on ebay and offering it to you as well! It is an ivory dress and a size 12, but fits more like an 8 or 10. Has never been worn before so no alterations have been made or bustling done. Perfect for those brides out there who are on a budget! I still have the tag. There is dirt (very little amount) that is on the rim of the dress from brushing against the floor, but would come off with a dry clean no problem. So call me if you are interested in trying on or purchasing the dress…You don’t have to be a client of mine and I am not normally a one-stop shop! ;o) Just trying to break even on the purchase!
click here and go to my contact page…be sure to tell me you are inquiring about the dress!
P.S….excuse the picture quality…took them extremely fast and with out thought so I could just throw it up on e-bay!!! ;o)
Thanks,
Meg

I got such an awesome response from everyone on the engagement shoot that I shot for Kristen and Vinny that I decided to make a studio sample engagment/guest book out of it! These are so cool and I love designing them! I am doing some brainstorming and possibly adding them into one of my packages for my 2008 weddings. But you can purchase them as an A La Carte item too! So don’t fret if you have already booked with me and like the idea! They are a perfect keepsake and if you use it as a guest book at your wedding then you will also have all your friends and family’s wishes and pictures of you wrapped into one! How cool is that?! It is all custom designed by me in Photoshop. So your book will be unique! To be different is cool I think! It comes with a dust Jacket (also custom designed) to protect your book from…well…dust! (And drooling pets or kids if you are planning on having any or already do!) All the negative space is purposely left open for areas for your guests to sign. I can also design these simply as a keepsake without being meant to use as a guest book. So your options are endless! I love it!
The first image is the dust jacket that wraps around the outside of the book!

the inside design….

So if you have booked your wedding with me for 2007 or 2008 and are interested in having me design a book for you just send me an email or give me a call and I will get to work!
KYKC…Keep your Karma Clean and remember that all designs and images are property of Creative Image Collections and can not be copied or reproduced without permission!!!
Enjoy!

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let you know a few things. First is I have been chugging away working on album designs and editing and October is an insanely busy month for me! Second- I am so excited that my photo is up on THE ARTIST section of my website and my friend Eric was the chosen photographer! He did a really awesome job and you can view the slideshow he put together for me here. He chose the perfect song since I am a Killers Fan! Check out their site, it rocks! (no pun intended) Thanks so much Eric! It was a blast to be on the opposite side of the camera, although I nearly had a heart-attack doing it! (I’m a tad bit camera shy) I also wanted to give you an update on my search for a model for my Trash the Dress Session. I have found the chosen one and can’t wait to share the images with you all after the shoot! I am so excited to be shooting the bride to be and I am going to be doing little project shoots on a monthly basis during the winter months so stay tuned for more oppurtunities!
Have a great day!
