Sarah and Brandon got married at Tashua Knolls Golf Club in Trumbull in September! You may remember Sarah as my trash-the-dress bride from last year. I am so happy I have had the opportunity to get to know Sarah as much as I have and I think her and Brandon are two peas in a pod! They are so much fun together and they brought alot of love and energy into their wedding and I had such a blast spending the day with them!
I have an extemely long post due to the awesome-ness of their wedding!!! Enjoy!
Some getting ready…Sarah was so relaxed despite the fact her and Brandon have been living in a hotel for the past couple months due to a tree fallling on their house…what a trooper!

Flowers by Danielle…who does beautiful work! She has done the flowers for my past two weddings and I was just as impressed the second time around!!!

the dress…

When I asked Sarah where her shoes were and she told me they were the pink ones over on the table, I wanted to give her a BIG hug!!! She is so much fun!
LOVE the color…LOVE the bows!

Sarah and Brandon wanted to see each other before the ceremony! I love that idea! It is such a great way to spend a little alone time together on such a busy day and take it all in!
I love Sarah’s reactions when I told her he was on his way!!!

The couple made time before the ceremony for some formals…also another idea I loved!

Brandon and the guys were so much fun to shoot!

Ceremony time!

Party time!!!

Sarah and her Grandpa… A.K.A. Fast Freddie ;o)

I love Brandon’s expression when he was lifted up on the chair!!!

Congratulations Sarah and Brandon! You are truely a perfect match and I am looking forward to our Day After Session!!! Yipppeeeeeee!
Happy Monday!

Mike and Lou Wanda are getting married in just three weeks and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding after learning about how they’ve planned the big day! I took them for a stroll down Main Street in Danbury to get some really cool shots that have been on my mind just about everytime I drive down the road! Finally I have made my visions a reality thanks to this fun couple who let me do my thing!
Enjoy!
my favorite of the day…
Looking forward to the big day guys! Can’t wait!
Happy Wednesday!

I shot a great wedding with my friend Eric from Raw Photo Design on Friday and it was so much fun to work with him again! Allison and Keith got married in Shelton and then had their reception at the Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown. It was great getting to know Keith and hear the story of how they met and got together! So in honor of that I will start with the ring shot!

Keith takes his hair very seriously! ;o)

the ceremony…

I have to add, this is actually round two for the lighting of the candle. Keith blew out the the unity candle by accident the first time around! I say thats good luck! ;o)

Allison’s dad surprised them with a horse and buggy ride up to the mansion!

First dance…

Congrats to Allison and Keith…it was great getting to know your story!
Happy Monday!

I have had a busy weekend shooting 2 weddings and an engagement session so there will be plenty to blog about this week and next! I can’t wait to share the pics with you! It is never easy to shoot two weddings back to back and my body lets me know that come Sunday morning! However, it is completely worth every ache and pain!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and I will be returning email first thing Monday morning.
Happy Sunday!

Okay…not really. I just wanted to get your attention!
My friend/former client, Kelly, and I got together last week for a little girl’s night with some nice wine, yummy treats, and good conversation. So of course the topic of clothes made its way into our chit chat (I think it started with me liking her cool sweater
) and Kelly had the brilliant idea of putting together a clothes swap…
SORRY GUYS! ! ! I know you’re all dying to come and hang out with us but it’s a GIRLS ONLY event!
So on November 7th we are going to be hosting a clothes swap for anyone who wants to attend! All the details will be posted when they are ironed out (no pun intended) and when we get a bit closer to the big event!
~You bring with you 10 articles of gently used clothing that have been sitting in your closet taking up space and you know you will never wear again! Maybe you bought that “PERFECT” shirt or pants that you HAD to have and the tags are still on them after a year!
~The clothes have to be from this decade and preferably STYLISH or considered to be a BASIC that can be useful to anyone…(no 80’s or 90’s lavender sweatshirts with kittens frolicking in a basket on the front of it!)
~In addition to the 10 articles of clothing that you will bring with you, you will be asked to bring ONE “WHAT-WAS-I-THINKING?????” piece of clothing. We will be doing something fun with this part of the evening that will remain a secret until the night of!
~Kelly and I will be organizing (YIKES
) the actual swapping of clothes so all is fair and square!
So if you are up for a night of shopping without having to break the bank, yummy cocktails, food and good clean fun then you are more than welcome to join us!
You can sign up and let me know by entering into my site and leaving me a message in my contact page or leave a comment below and I will collect all email addresses and leave you an official E-VITE as the date approaches us!
~Happy Thursday!

A couple weekends ago I had a wonderful opportunity to shoot another wedding with my friend Peter Oberc from Peter Oberc Photography. He is a blast to work with and I always have a lot of fun through out the day. This time around we shot Andrea and Jackson’s wedding in Rye New York at the Westchester Country Club.
Here’s Jackson hanging out with the guys…

these two were hams…

I LOVE the pink sunglasses!

Andrea arriving at the Church…

An alternative to the regular shoe shot. I started my day off at the church, so I wasn’t able to get all the fun and juicey detail shots at the bride’s house! So I had to squeeze a shoe shot in there somehow! ;o)

Andrea with her dad moments before walking down the aisle…

these were the stairs I had to run up and down at the church. It was a challenge as they were extremely steep with lots of curves and not so spacious.

The reception area was beautiful, warm and cozy!

I have been into shooting food ever since I first started out as a photojournalist at a newspaper. The Westchester Country Club always puts out a huge spread for the cocktail hour that is not only good tasting, but also pleasing to the eye! I love shooting food and eventually want to get into doing this in addition to my weddings! YUMMMMMM!
Andrea and Jackson having fun with their first dance…
A couple moments during their toasts!

And some fun shots…

a very sweet moment…dance with Dad!

So a huge thank you again to Peter for inviting me along to shoot with him!
Happy Monday!

Lauren and Roy are so in love! They are perfect for each other and spending time with them on their wedding day was such an honor. This is a pretty big post since I had gotten some really cool shots that I couldn’t help but blog about!
Here are some getting shots…

This
Shoes shoes shoes…need I say more! Lauren had a pair for both her wedding gown and her chinese dress she changed into later on in the evening.
the wedding gown pair…

Some pretty nifty Nine West-ers!

waiting in the limo outside the church…

I LOVE this shot!

I love it when veils have a mind of their own…

The view at the Candlewood Inn where they had their reception…

Congrats to Lauren and Roy!
I will be out of the office all this weekend shooting and FINALLY attending a wedding as a guest!
Yipppppeeeeeeeee!
Happy Thursday!

Wow…I feel like it has been forever since I have last posted a blog entry. Its been a while…I won’t let that happen again!
Lynda and Ryan got married back in August! Here are some of my favorites from their day!
Her cute polka-dot flats…

We took some fun shots at the couple’s high school, which is where they met and have been together ever since!!!

They had their reception at Lyman Orchards in Middletown CT…and we shot their formals at the perfect time of day and had some beautiful light!

Their first dance…which almost made me cry…they are so much in love!

this wasn’t in the original post-can’t believe I forgot to add a shot of the cake…which smelled yummy!

Congrats to Lynda and Ryan and more weddings to come!
Happy Tuesday!
