Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with Susan Stripling in her home in Brooklyn. It was such a cool experience and I learned quite a few things from the day! We kind of got stuck with some not so great weather conditions to shoot in, but we tried to make the best of it. After an information packed sushi lunch, we had a really adorable couple come out and show us what they got. They were just about the cutest people to photograph! So into each other! Here is what I got for the day! This posts image uploader is having a mind of its own today, so I am giving my thanks to Susan now rather than the end of the post!!!
Enjoy and Happy Friday!

This is Susan!

I am a sucker for body language shots…
I think this my favorite image from the day!

Susan opened her home to us,which was very cool of her, and I snagged her “Patience” dish to grab this ring shot! I think that about sums up one of the finer ingredients of a sucessful marriage! ;o)
Mike and Lou Wanda are getting married in just three weeks and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding after learning about how they’ve planned the big day! I took them for a stroll down Main Street in Danbury to get some really cool shots that have been on my mind just about everytime I drive down the road! Finally I have made my visions a reality thanks to this fun couple who let me do my thing!
Enjoy!
my favorite of the day…
Looking forward to the big day guys! Can’t wait!
Happy Wednesday!

This is Amy and David! They are the cutest couple and I thought when I first met with Amy about shooting her wedding that we may be meeting for other reasons as well. I had sensed that Amy and I would have more to talk about other than her wedding photography before I even met her. And sure enough we did! Strange I know, but very true! So at our intial meeting when she viewed my work we also snuck in a little therapy session as well! Two for the price of one! So I was really excited to hear from her when she was ready to book with me for their wedding on July 12th. I love shooting people and especially with those that I connect with! They are a real genuine couple and I am so happy for them to have found each other! We did their session at Elizabeth park in Hartford and we got rained on but made the best of it!
so here ya go…

we snuck inside the Pond House at the Park and kicked a very nice man out of his seat to grab this shot…my favorite from the shoot just for that reason…and even though I don’t think that very nice man will ever see the picture posted on this here blog…I thank him!
So I wil be shooting Amy and David again this Saturday at their wedding and I am really looking forward to it!
Enjoy and once again…Happy Thursday!

A while back I shot Judy and Kevin’s engagement session at her parents house…which is also a farm!
It was rediciously hot that morning and I won’t ever forget how attentive her mother was, making sure we all had something to drink through out the shoot! Thanks! ;o)
Here are a couple of my favorites…
Kevin proposed to Judy while horseback riding…so it was fitting there be a horse around to shoot with!

I just liked this one for some reason…

Since inside was a lot cooler than it was outside we utilized some open space available in Judy’s parents house they are renovating…(which was gorgeous by the way!)

So happy Enagement and can’t wait to see you at the wedding!!!
Happy Sunday again!

Susana and Peter are engaged!!! Yipeeeee! We went to Seaside Park in Bridgeport and we had some pretty light to work with! I love the beach! There is nothing like it! We got eaten alive by bugs…I fell on a rock and made myself look like an idiot and I wouldn’t have had it any other way! These two were so much fun to work with and I am really excited to be shooting their wedding coming up!
enjoy!

Congrats Susana and Peter!
ON another note…their will be some updates as to the PBandJ coming up so stay tuned to get all the details!
Happy Thursday!

I had the pleasure of shooting Lynda and Ryan’s Engagement session up at UCONN in Storrs CT yesterday! They are such an adorable couple! FACT…They have been together since high school (9 years to be exact!) and they both attended and graduated from UCONN (which is why we shot there!)
I came home with a bunch of keepers and I posted my most favorite ones!

I think this is my favorite from the whole shoot. We were shooting against the wall around the corner and when I turned the corner the lighting was perfect! We had some beautiful light available for us! ( I just re-read what I wrote here…and instead of deleting my repetiveness…I have decided to poke fun at mysef instead! ;o)

In the inverted pyramid in the courtyard! It was the coolest thing I have ever seen and I am so glad Lynda pointed it out!

A mushroom! Yippppeeeeeeeeee!

And of course…the VANS! I LOOOOOOOVE vans and Ryan sported these squeaky clean kicks for the shoot! I knew I would like these guys!

It was great to see you two and I hope you didn’t eat too many Gyros!
Can’t wait to shoot their wedding for sure!
Happy Sunday!

Carrie and Gregg are getting married in just a few short weeks! So we had to squeeze in an engagement session and we headed off to the beach in Stratford and it was VERY COLD. I left my swim suit at home for this shoot ;o)
So here are a few of my favorites of the day!
First shot of the day…I think they may have been a tad bit concerned as to what I was doing with these signs…but I always have some sort of vision going on.

This is when I realized my 28mm had a bit of a condensation issue going on…but I kinda liked the effect…happy accident I suppose!

I asked them to run throught the seagulls! It was fun!

My favorite of the day I think.

The rock…

Can’t wait for the wedding Carrie and Gregg! It was great getting to know you better!
Happy Tuesday!

Amy and Jeff are engaged and gettin’ hitched this April! I am very excited to be shooting her wedding. I went to nursery school with her brother Chris, a long long time ago! Back when I was still a thumb-sucker…ehem! So anyway, we went to Tarrywile Park in Danbury when they were here over the Thanksgiving Holiday!
Here’s a few that I liked…
