My images from a Trash-the-dress session I did a while back are featured on the Trash the Dress blog-site. I did the session with the Fab Talia from Sixpence For Your Shoe events and we had a blast…check out the images by clicking HERE.

I hope you take the time to check out the others on the link above!!!
P.S….If you are viewing the Trash the Dress blog from Internet Explorer, you will only see one picture in most posts. They are aware of this issue and are working on resolving it. If your Firefox…you’re all set to view! ;o)
Have a happy Friday!

Hey There! Happy New Year! I am still Alive! I know I have been very lazy in my blogging, but I think I needed a break from things for a little bit to get myself grounded, organized and ready for the upcoming year! I had an extremely busy year with lots of changes, both business and personal, and I am a very strong believer that with rough patches in life you gain strength and courage that you may not have realized existed within you. I am lucky to have photography as a creative outlet and feel it is one of the things, next to the people in my life, that helps me to keep chugging along! I find great pleasure in getting lost in it and I love sharing it with all of you out there!
I did this Trash-the-Dress shoot a long, long time ago with Shannon and finally have had the chance to blog them for you all (and her ;o) It was cold and I was covered in burrs by the end of the day! In fact there were so many burrs that it was pointed out by the man behind the counter in the Dunkin Donuts we made a pit stop at while shooting! ;o)
I hope you enjoy!

Shan has these striking blue eyes! LOVE them!

I hope you all have a happy healthy new year!
Happy Friday!

Just a little teaser shot from Shan’s TTD session yesterday! This was the last shot Shan and I got. We froze are buts off for three solid hours and trampled through snow to get to all of our locations. The light was falling on us and we got this one just in time! It was probably the most fun shot we created. I simply told her to toss up her boquet and be like HURRAY!!!! We are done shooting and freezing our you-know-whatsee’s-off!
Off to an E-shoot with Carrie and Gregg!
Can’t wait!
Happy Sunday!

Tonight I made the trip to Norwalk to meet up with Shannon, who is a fan of my work (blush blush) and she is going to be my next model for a Trash the Dress shoot. We are going all out for this and I am soooo excited to be working with her. She is a real cutie — She is going to be one HOT Bride! Yippeeeee!
So Shannon will be getting her make-up done , on me of course, and a day she will never forget! I know this will be a fun shoot to do since she is just as excited as me! I am so happy to have finally met her as we have corresponded from time to time via email and my blog…so it was really great to put a face with the name! I can’t wait to share the pics with you all!
Have a fun night…

Twenty decades ago (not really ;o) I shot a Trash the Dress session with the infamous Talia from Sixpence For Your Shoe . As Jack Black would say, Talia’s in the BIZ. She is the co-owner of the wedding co-ordinating business and I really loved working with her and her husband, Ed! I knew this shoot would go well the second I met Talia. She is a real smart business woman, down to earth, very likeable and also absolutely beautiful inside and out.
I gave her an extra big blog entry because she has been teased badly and waited very patiently to see her pics…
You may recognize her, as she was the pair of eyes on my blog header through the month of Novemeber and December!!!
So here is the lovely Talia…

We shot at Castle Hill Farm in Newtown CT with permission from the Paproski’s, who own the farm! It was so generous of them to allow us to shoot right next to their home!
we were blessed with some serious afternoon glow for some awesome flair shots…

This is Ed…he reminds me of John Cusak.

Talia was envisioning some bales of hay. I love hay! ;o)

I love this shot…I get a very angelic feel from it.

I was going to make my own boquet but then realized I am better off sticking to photography! So I swung by the Flower Corner in Bethel and they did a great job on the flowers! I loved them!

I always love to capture a little body language…

We got cut short of light real fast so I broke out my tiny itty bitty video light for some night shots…

Thanks again Talia and Ed! Now lets go get some dinner and have fun! ;o)
Oh yeah…and by the way…I realized her dress stayed too darn clean for a trash the dress shoot so we are headed out for a PART 2 in some mud!!! Can’t wait!
P.S. you can check out Talia’s blog here. She has posted a little bit about our shoot!
okay…I am winding down with the last of my editing for my 2007 season and will be working on my album designs for the next two months.
I would love to do another Trash the Dress shoot to keep my creative juices flowing and have a location picked out in my mind…it involves some really old, junked up cars in the middle of the woods! I also already have the dress. So if you are about a size 10 or 12 then give me a buzz or leave an email and we can set it up.
Anyone who does a shoot with me, as usual, gets to have their makeup done by the one and only Kristen from MAC. I would love to incorporate some snow in the picture too! so if you are up for some fun in the not so warm sun…then give me a buzz and we can set up the shoot really soon!
meg
By the way…the only requirement for this shoot is to be willing to do just about anything. I always have lots of fun with clients that give me free reign. That is a dream come true for photographers. The sky is the limit when you hang out with me for the day!!! ;o)
totally by accident but kinda liked this shot…
Hi everyone,
I am officially inviting you to leave comments on my blog! I love that there are a lot of people checking it out, but I never know who some of you are. I like to know what you think about my pictures, and would really appreciate your thoughts on them. I love to get to know people too! So since I have this lovely thing called a blog stats page that only I can link into, since I am the blogger, I am able to see the number of hits I get each day on my blog. I get a lot, but not as many comments as I do hits. It is anonymous so I don’t know who you are until you leave me a comment. I would love to get to know who I am targeting out there.
On that note…I will leave you with a picture of something random…
This is from Part 1 of a 2 Part Trash the Dress/Bridal session…This is the lovely Talia who I have been mentioning…isn’t she pretty?!!!
PUG meeting tonight! Yipeeeeeeeeeee!
PS… I have been keeping up with my new years resolution of eating better and exercising. I have been hiking for that damn it all medallian, I am a dork, and walking really early in the morning. I also would like to share a new discovery. Try instead of wrapping your sandwiches or mexican stuff in huge carbo-filled wraps, to wrap them in huge non-carbo-filled lettuce leafs…it is really yummmmmmmmmmy!

These here are some more from Sarah’s TTD shoot! Just takes a bit more time to play around with stuff and get a little more creative than the usual…sometimes I am not sure how clients will take in what I LOVE as a photographer. But it’s time to come out of my shell a bit and take risks! ;o)

I just posted this one because their is a hidden witch in this picture…(It is definitely NOT Sarah, she is really sweet!) Can you find it??? Leave me a comment and let me know where in the pic it is!

don’t know why, just like it.

Love to experiment with stuff…I haven’t worked much with these multiple exposure shots, but I love creating them!

HAPPY SNOW DAY!

This one’s for Sarah! She is so cool. I like her alot. Sarah was my chosen model for the freebie Trash the Dress session/Bridal shoot. When she came to our initial meeting with her fiance, Brandon, I had just put out the word I was doing a shoot and needed a model. She volunteered, but obviously didn’t have a dress yet being that her wedding isn’t until next September! So we met up and picked one up at a local bridal shop, my favorite make-up artist, Kristin from MAC, did her make-up and then we headed out for some fun! We had a glorious, but chilly, day! It is deceiving in the pics, the real temp was about 55 degrees or so and the water temps were much colder! A.K.A. we froze our butts off! She was a great sport and did whatever I asked. The location came equiped with many spectators wondering who the fools were hanging out in the bitter-cold water. Sarah is such a beautiful woman and she has a personality that really shines through here! Check it out!
We started off dry!

hint…if I ever ask you to jump in a bunch of weeds it’s just to get a little playful!

Next we headed up to the woods for some twirly fun and a little experimenting.

when I worked as a newspaper photographer sun flare was a no-no…much rather have a little flare!

kinda liked this one.

Sarah has a great personality…love it!

sexy…love it.

I shot a bridal / trash the dress session with my friend Eric Langlois a few weeks ago. We had a lot of fun and got some cool shots from the shoot. Amber was our beautiful bride and she was such a trooper, getting into swampy muddy water with her wedding dress on! We owe her! She never complained once. Here are a few of my favorites from the day! Enjoy! You can check out Eric’s pics at his blog by clicking here.

Amber looks gorgeous here…

This was the huge pipe-line in which my 28mm lens bounced off of and landed about 20 feet below…and was still tickin’…now that is lucky!

I love the mood of this pic…the light was perfect. I was in about a foot of mud to get this shot.
